✔ Also great as a high-quality gift: The "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special thoughts
Color variations of the Ichimatsu hand towel
Based on correct patterns, the Ichimatsu pattern includes meanings wishing for "prosperity of descendants" and "business continuity."
We designed a modern version that dyes the good motifs of the pattern into contemporary lifestyle colors.
The colors are displayed in two series: a green series with a fresh and natural tone,

and a warm red series with a gentle feeling.

While maintaining a harmonious color balance, each has its own personality, adding a subtle and elegant Japanese touch to your daily life.
※ Because the fabric is hand-dyed and made in batches, there are individual differences in the placement of the pattern. Please understand this in advance.
Fusion of trained design and artisan skills
This hand towel is a special refined product made of original fabric dyed by artisans in Kyoto, where each piece is carefully crafted by hand.

With traditional techniques, it has a deep color and unique harmony that captivates. When you look closely at the hand-dyed fabric, you can feel the complex layering of colors that only hand-dyeing can create.
The subtle variations in intensity and shades bring out a unique beauty that only hand craftsmanship can achieve.

By carefully dyeing each piece, it creates a warmth and depth that simple prints cannot express.
The craftsmanship highlights the beauty of Japanese tradition in detail. Every time you use it, you can feel the meaning of Japanese artisan skills and traditional patterns.

We hope you will experience the charm of this harmony and warmth born from artisan craftsmanship.
Adding a touch of Japanese beauty to your daily life

The size of the hand towel is approximately 90cm × 35cm. It is almost the same size as a face towel, but its thinness makes it compact and easy to carry.
The fabric becomes softer the more you use it, made of 100% smooth cotton that feels gentle on the skin.

Whether wrapping, covering, or tying, it adds a warm and calming Japanese beauty to your everyday life.

【Ichimatsu pattern】

Elegant Ichimatsu, the beauty of tradition
The checkerboard pattern’s squares, when tightly interlocked, appear to be moving gently.
The Ichimatsu pattern looks as if life itself is gently blowing through it.
The Ichimatsu pattern became popular when the kabuki actor Ichimaru Sadanji appeared in white and red costumes with the pattern, especially among women.
It was originally called the Ishizumi pattern but was renamed Ichimatsu pattern due to its popularity.
Even today, it appears as the green and black feather pattern worn by the main character in the manga "Demon Slayer," beloved by many regardless of generation.
