This bucket pochette is a collaboration between the Tachibana Textile Institute in Onomichi, Hiroshima, and the miscellaneous goods brand "salvia" that is close to daily life. It has a simple feel that makes you feel relieved when you pick it up.
This bag is made into a rounded shape using fabric from Onomichi Hanpu, the last canvas factory in Onomichi.
The gray color in particular is a bit special, as it is printed by hand using iron powder from a steel mill in Onomichi and a dye uniquely developed by the Tachibana Textile Research Institute.
There is a subtle depth in the muted colors, and the gentle stitching, which is ``like hand embroidery'' made by a specialized embroidery factory in Gosen, Niigata, adds a soft warmth.
A leather round cord is used for the handle. The simplicity of canvas and the elegance of leather are in harmony. The more you use it, the more the leather texture changes, and one of its charms is that it slowly adapts to your hand.
