Kamanu's bathhouse pattern is dyed one color at a time skillfully using the traditional hand tie-dyeing technique (tenassen).
Using molds, dye is applied to the raw fabric one color at a time by hand in a traditional dyeing technique. By layering colors carefully with the artisan's hands, delicate patterns and beautiful color gradations are created.
Because the dye penetrates deeply into the raw fabric, the difference in color between the front and back is minimal. The rich patterns can be used for a long time with excellent durability.
