Traditional Patterns and Craftsmanship Woven Together, Beautiful and Practical Goshuincho

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design that brings to life the "wish for happiness" meaning held by traditional Japanese patterns, created together with a textile designer, Fuwa Market.

One of the patterns is the pine tree, which retains its green leaves throughout the year and endures severe cold, symbolizing “longevity.”

We designed a modern interpretation that dyes the good motifs of tradition into contemporary lifestyle.

Meticulous Craftsmanship: Each piece is carefully handcrafted at a specialized workshop in Kyoto.
Modern Traditional Patterns: Enjoy choosing from 6 types of patterns and 2 colors.
Also as a High-Quality Gift: The “Pattern of Happiness” conveys special thoughts.

Enrich Your Enjoyment of Visiting Shrines and Temples

The goshuincho size is a large judge size (B6), measuring approximately 18cm by 12cm. It is a convenient size that allows you to easily attach your goshuin stamps in a neat manner.

With a snake belly fold style, the number of pages totals 48 (24 sheets).

Like an accordion, it is folded and stacked, so when spread out, you can view multiple goshuin stamps at once.

As a goshuincho, it is versatile and can also be used as a mini notebook, scrapbook, travel notebook, or a collection of works, showcasing its charm in various ways.

Each time you handle it, your heart feels aligned, making your shrine and temple visits even richer moments.

The Charm of Hand-Dyed Craftsmanship

The hand-dyed washi paper used in this goshuincho is carefully handcrafted one by one by skilled artisans specializing in friend washi dyeing at a workshop in Kyoto.

The deep, rich colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques are truly captivating.

Looking at the paper’s surface, you can feel the dense layering of colors unique to hand-dyeing.

The subtle gradations and nuances, created by handcrafting, bring out a one-of-a-kind beauty.

Produced by skilled artisans, this blend of colors and warmth is something we hope you will truly appreciate.

Each copy is carefully dyed and finished, creating a depth and warmth that cannot be expressed by a simple print alone.

The hand-dyed washi paper used for printing is individually handcrafted by Kyoto box artisans, each with subtle differences in expression that bring out your unique special feel.

Produced by skilled artisans, this blend of colors and warmth is something we hope you will truly appreciate.

Wishes and Prayers Woven into the Pine Pattern

The Pine is a Symbol of Prosperity

The pine is a plant loved by the Japanese for a long time as a sacred symbol.

Even in the cold winter, it retains its lush green leaves, symbolizing “longevity,” and the pine, along with the magnolia and azalea, has come to embody the wish for “prosperity of descendants” as one of its striking features.

Since the Edo period, it has been regarded as a plant where gods dwell, painted on Noh stage backdrops and made into gate pines to welcome the New Year gods, becoming an indispensable presence from performing arts to celebrations.

The pine’s strong vitality and beauty continue to be loved by many people even today.

The colors are a green series of subdued shades,

and an orange series with warmth. Both color variations have personality and are ideal as an item to color your goshuincho visits.

※ Because the large sheets are cut to size, there may be individual differences in the placement of the patterns on the paper. Thank you for your understanding.
