Traditional Patterns and Craftsmanship Woven Together: Beautiful and Practical Goshuincho

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design that brings to life the "wish for happiness" inherent in traditional Japanese patterns, created together with a textile designer.Fuwa Market

One of the series, the Seigaiha pattern, symbolizes the "prosperity of future generations" and "family fortune" like the eternal waves that continue forever.

We designed the good motifs of traditional patterns dyed in a modern lifestyle style.

Exquisite Craftsmanship: Carefully crafted one by one at a specialized workshop in Kyoto
Modern Traditional Patterns: Enjoy selecting from 6 types of patterns and 2 colors
Also Perfect as a High-Quality Gift: The "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special wishes

Make Your Shrine and Temple Visits Even More Enjoyable

The goshuincho size is a large B6 size of about 18cm by 12cm. It is an easy-to-use size that allows you to neatly attach your goshuin stamps.

In the accordion style, the number of pages totals 48 pages (24 sheets).

Since it is a single long folded paper like an accordion, you can see multiple goshuin stamps at a glance when unfolded.

Of course, as a goshuincho, it can also be widely used for mini-notebooks, scrapbooks, travel notes, recipe notebooks, collections of works, and other creative purposes, which is another attractive feature.

Every time you hold it in your hand, your heart feels at peace, making your shrine and temple visits even richer moments.

The Charm of Hand-Dyed Craftsmanship

The hand-dyed washi paper used for this goshuincho is carefully handcrafted one by one by skilled artisans at a specialized workshop in Kyoto specializing in friend washi dyeing.

The deep colors and unique blend achieved through traditional techniques are captivating.

Looking closely at the texture, you can sense the subtle layering of colors unique to hand-dyeing.

Subtle gradations and nuances created by handcrafting bring out an unparalleled beauty.

Each edition is carefully dyed, creating depth and warmth that cannot be expressed with simple printing.

The hand-dyed washi paper with printed patterns is carefully handcrafted one by one by Kyoto’s binding box artisans. Each subtle difference in expression brings out a special feeling unique to you.

We invite you to experience the charm of this blend of traditional craftsmanship and warmth created by artisans’ handiwork.

Wishes and Prayers Woven into the Seigaiha Pattern

The infinite waves symbolize abundance

Large, swelling waves and small, calm waves. The Seigaiha pattern with overlapping arcs of various sizes is a pop design symbolizing happiness.

It is a great motif for people living near the sea worldwide, and not only in Japan but also in Egypt, Peru, and other places, you can see this design.

Also appearing in the Heian period’s elegant monogatarigo (narrative tales), it was popular among commoners during the Edo period.

Wishing for abundant blessings and infinite symbols, it has become loved as a good motif for starting a family and is given as a gift for weddings and housewarmings.

The colors are displayed in gentle blue tones,

and warm brown tones. While the colors are subdued, each has its own character, making it ideal as a colorful item for your goshuincho visits.

※Please note that due to cutting large sheets, there are individual differences in the placement of patterns. Thank you for your understanding.
