The traditional technique "tenassen" weaves beautiful colors

Tenassen is a method where each color is shaped and the color is applied with a brush to gradually soak one color at a time into the fabric base.

Our tenugui (hand towels) are images of Kyoto's autumn inspired by the famous maple leaves of Takao and the autumn scenery of Soyo Momo.

Every time you see them, the warmth of handmade craftsmanship is conveyed, adding a refined Japanese accent to your everyday life.

Use them abundantly for daily comfort

• As a towel or hankerchief substitute: Highly absorbent and suitable for drying dishes or wiping sweat.

• Worn around the head or neck: Perfect for daily sweat absorption and cooling.

• For lunch boxes or wrapping: Ideal for wrapping bento boxes, pet bottles, tissue boxes, or book covers with an eco-friendly touch.

• As an interior item: Brighten up spaces with tapestry-style decorations, hanging curtains, or partitions.

• As a travel companion: Thin and lightweight, easy to carry, making it a precious item for outdoors or travel.

As a bag handle cover: Wrap around bag handles to protect them and add style. Also works as a cover to hide the inside of bags.

• As a tablecloth: Adds an accent to your dining table. Also suitable for lunch mats and coasters.

【How to Care】

For the fringes on both ends, please cut and tuck in the long loose parts. Washing 2 to 3 times will help set the fabric and prevent the fringes from unraveling.

【Handling Precautions】

• There may be slight color fading, so please avoid washing with white items for the first 2 to 3 washes.

• Please refrain from using bleach (chlorine-based detergents).

• Due to the tenassen dyeing method, there may be slight variations in color, size, and pattern output.
