Japanese Traditional Dyeing Technique "Chusen"

Chusen is a unique Japanese dyeing technique that has continued since the Meiji era.

Using stencil paper to create patterns, dye is poured repeatedly from above over layered cloth, which is a distinctive feature that beautifully dyes the fabric to its core.

By pouring dye from above, natural blurring and gradation are created, resulting in a warm expression that cannot be replicated by machines.

The beautiful color blending that can be enjoyed from any angle without a front or back side is unique to Chusen. The more you use it, the more the colors blend, and over time, it develops a flavor unique to you.

・Due to the dyeing process, there may be slight differences in color and shade of the product.
