A cute round-shaped bag called "Koron" like a potato bag.
Because it has a rounded bottom, it is practical and easy to put in and take out items.
The fabric used for the bag is makumo original raw fabric. The weaving is of course handmade, and the design and dyeing of the fabric are also done by hand, creating unique patterns and color schemes that can only be found here.
While giving off a rustic atmosphere, it looks very popular with its tea-colored base. It quietly reflects the feelings of those who love rustic styles.
Gentle to the User
The Jagaimo bag is a large size with a mouth width of 40cm and a height of 30cm. Since it uses sturdy canvas raw fabric (woven), you can safely put plenty of items inside.
The opening has a fastener to securely protect the contents, which is a nice point.
The shoulder strap is wrapped with quilted fabric for a comfortable feel.
Since the length is adjustable, it can be used both as a tote bag and as a shoulder bag.
Valuing the Joy of Play
The inside of the bag is a fresh water color.
Every time you put in or take out items, your heart suddenly tightens—such a playful feeling is hidden inside the bag.
It also comes with an inner pocket, so you can neatly store small items.
Starting from the Fabric Design
The base is pure white canvas raw fabric.
Makumo's bags start from the fabric design.
Designer Fukuyama graduated from the dyeing department of a modeling school and gained experience in cut-and-sew and other areas before establishing makumo. The patterns and color schemes born from her hands create a warm and nostalgic retro atmosphere with vivid, unique character.
Differences in Expression Because It's Handmade
It is Mr. Araki who shapes Fukuyama’s designs.
The technique used is called "hand dyeing (tenassen)/silk screen." For each color, a stencil is made, and dye is carefully applied to the raw fabric with a large squeegee, layering each color steadily.
The dyed raw fabric shows different expressions even with the same design, creating subtle nuances and warmth that cannot be reproduced digitally.
The raw fabric completed after several manufacturing processes is shaped into the Jagaimo bag by the hands of weaving artisans.
