Traditional Patterns and Artisan Techniques Combined, Beautiful and Practical Exquisite Memo Pad

The “Pattern of Happiness” series is an original design created by a textile designer who focused on the “meaning of wishing for happiness” found in traditional Japanese patterns.

One of the series’ patterns is the plum blossom, a design loved by people since ancient times for its beauty, vitality, nobility, and fragrant elegance.

We have designed a modern pattern that brings the good motifs of tradition into contemporary lifestyle.

Artisan Techniques with Care: Each piece is carefully crafted at a Kyoto box-making specialist workshop
Modern Traditional Patterns: Enjoy choosing from six types of patterns × two color variations
Highly Practical: Perfect for jotting down quick notes, studying, or work
Also an Elegant Gift: The “Pattern of Happiness” conveys special thoughts

Bringing the Beauty of Wa (Japanese Style) into Everyday Life

The memo pad size is approximately 10cm (memo paper size is about 9cm). Having just one on your desk offers a compact and easy-to-use size feeling.

Use it freely for shopping lists, ideas, things you want to remember, memo writing, or ToDo lists.

At your office or home desk, jot down brief messages to family or partners, study notes, work tasks, or business scenes. This exquisite memo pad makes it convenient to quickly write down your daily “little things.”

The hand-dyed Japanese paper adds beauty and makes writing memos a special moment.

Accent with Interior Colors

Carefully selected simple, neutral-colored paper is used on the front and back sides.

While drawing on the beauty of traditional paper, the design creates a pleasant contrast between the front and back, allowing you to enjoy different expressions.

The smooth opening enabled by delicate craftsmanship makes you feel comfortable every time you use it.

The Charm of Hand-Dyed Artisan Techniques

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this memo pad is carefully crafted one by one by skilled artisans specializing in friend’s Japanese paper dyeing at a professional workshop in Kyoto.

The deep colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques are truly charming.

Looking at the paper’s surface, you can feel the richness of colors unique to hand-dyed Japanese paper.

Subtle variations in intensity and shading bring out a unique beauty that only handcrafted work can express.

Each edition is carefully dyed, creating depth and warmth that cannot be expressed by simple printing alone.

The hand-dyed Japanese paper with layered printing is carefully crafted one sheet at a time by Kyoto box artisans. The subtle differences in expression bring out a special feeling just for you.

We hope you will experience the charm of this harmony and warmth created by the artisan’s skill.

Wishes and Prayers Woven into Plum Patterns

Plum Blossom for Health and Disaster Prevention

A delicate flower that blooms amidst cold winds and snow, with a faint sweet fragrance that heralds the early arrival of spring.

The deep red, pink, and white hues of the winter landscape evoke a breath of life.

Many ancient Japanese songs in the oldest anthology “Manyoshu” feature the plum blossom as a theme, enchanting people since long ago.

Speaking of plum blossoms as a good luck charm, it’s the plum pickled in salt and kelp tea called “Daifuku Tea.” Its origin dates back to the Heian period when Emperor Murakami drank it during illness and recovered.

It became customary to drink it while wishing for a year free of illness and disasters.

The colors are warm red tones,

and bright, soft yellow tones. The gentle color combinations add a touch of elegance to your desk.

※ Because large sheets of paper are cut and made, there are individual differences in the placement of the pattern. Please understand this in advance.
