Traditional Patterns and Craftsman Skills Woven Together, Beautiful and Practical Elegant Memo Pad

The “Pattern of Happiness” series is an original design created by a textile designer who focused on the Japanese traditional patterns that carry the meaning of “wishing for happiness.”

One of the patterns, the ginkgo leaf, symbolizes “flaming” and “calling good fortune.”

We designed it in a modern way, dyeing the good motifs of the patterns with contemporary lifestyle influences.

Meticulous craftsmanship: Each piece carefully crafted at a Kyoto box-making specialty workshop
Modern traditional patterns: Enjoy choosing from 6 types of patterns × 2 colors
Practical usability: Perfect for everyday quick memos, study, and work
Also ideal as a refined gift: The “Pattern of Happiness” conveys special thoughts

Bringing the beauty of Wa (Japanese style) into everyday life

The memo pad size is approximately 10 cm (memo paper is about 9 cm). Just one per desk makes it a compact and easy-to-use size.

You can freely use it for shopping lists, ideas, thoughts you want to remember, To-Do lists, and more.

At the office or home desk, for brief messages with family or partners, study, work, or business scenes. A convenient elegant memo pad that lets you quickly jot down your “just a little note” every day.

The hand-dyed Japanese paper adds beauty and makes writing memos a special moment.

Inner colors that accentuate

Carefully selected simple, unpatterned paper is used for the front and back covers to enhance the beauty when opened.

While drawing out the beauty of the ginkgo leaf, the design allows you to enjoy different expressions on the front and back.

The smooth opening created by delicate craftsmanship makes you feel comfortable every time you use it.

Craftsmanship that stands out in hand-dyed paper

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this memo pad is carefully handcrafted one by one by a skilled craftsman specializing in Japanese paper dyeing at a professional workshop in Kyoto.

The deep colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques are truly captivating.

Looking closely at the ginkgo leaf, you can feel the weight of the delicate colors unique to hand-dyed paper.

The subtle gradations and nuances evoke a unique beauty that only handmade work can produce.

Each edition is carefully dyed to bring out a warmth and depth that cannot be expressed by simple printing alone.

The hand-dyed Japanese paper with its layered printing is crafted one by one by Kyoto box-making craftsmen. Each subtle variation expresses a unique feeling that is just for you.

Please experience the charm of this warmth and unique blend created by the craftsman’s skill.

Wishes and prayers woven into the ginkgo leaf pattern

The ginkgo leaf’s flaming, calling good fortune

The autumn street trees are ginkgo trees of Ichou. The fan-shaped leaves are dyed yellow, and the roads look like golden carpets. It is a scenery that looks like a picture book.

This cherished Ichou is very vital, with some trees living over 1,000 years. This vitality is said to be inhabited by sacred spirits, and Ichou is often regarded as the sacred tree of temples and shrines.

People have long wished upon the strength of life, the longevity symbolized by the fan-shaped leaves, the gathering of fortune in the yellow leaves, and the enhancement of wealth through the golden-colored leaves.

The colors are warm yellow tones,

and a chic green tone is also available in two colors. The subtle color harmony quietly adds elegance to your desk.

※ Because these are made by cutting large sheets, there are individual differences in the placement of the ginkgo leaf. Please understand this.
