The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design notebook that brings to life the "wish for happiness" embodied in traditional Japanese patterns, created together with a textile designer.

We have designed a modern style to bring good fortune motifs into contemporary life.

Exquisite artisan skills: Carefully crafted one by one at a specialized workshop in Kyoto
Modern traditional patterns: Enjoy choosing from 6 types of patterns × 2 colors
Durable and long-lasting: Firmly bound with thread for excellent durability
Also perfect as a high-quality gift: "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special thoughts

A Japanese beauty that makes writing enjoyable

Washi paper binding is a traditional Japanese manufacturing technique. The notebook is made by binding paper with thread, integrating the front and back sheets into one.

The handmade notebook, carefully bound with thread, has a charming depth of texture that becomes more familiar the more you use it.

Because it is firmly bound with thread, pages do not easily come loose, allowing for long-term use.

It is also well compatible with fountain pens, making writing a pleasure. It is suitable for diaries, travel journals, sketchbooks, poetry collections, idea notes, and more, enriching your daily writing in special moments.

Distinctive charm of hand-dyed detail

The hand-dyed washi paper used in this notebook is carefully crafted one by one by skilled artisans at a specialized workshop in Kyoto.

The deep colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques are truly captivating.

Looking at the dyed paper, you can feel the subtle layering of colors unique to hand-dyeing.

The delicate gradations and nuances brought out by handmade work create a unique beauty unlike any other.

Each copy is carefully dyed to bring out a depth and warmth that cannot be expressed by simple printing.

The craftsmanship highlights the refined beauty of Japanese tradition in every detail. Each time you use it, you can feel the meaning of Japanese artisan skills and traditional patterns.

Experience the charm of this warm blend born from artisan handiwork and traditional techniques.

Wishes and prayers incorporated in the plum blossom pattern

Plum blossom for health and disaster prevention

A delicate flower blooming defiantly amid cold winds and frost. With a faintly sweet fragrance, it heralds the early arrival of spring.

The gentle red, pink, and white colors of the winter landscape evoke a breath of life.

In Japan’s oldest anthology of songs, the "Manyoshu," many poems feature the plum blossom, enchanting people since ancient times.

Speaking of plum blossoms as a motif for good fortune, it is linked to the tea "Daifuku-cha," made by soaking dried plum and kombu kelp. Its origin dates back to the Heian period, when Emperor Murakami drank it during illness and recovered.

It became a tea drunk while wishing for a year free of illness and disasters.

Warm red tones,

and bright poppy yellow tones are displayed in two colors. The fallen shades have personality, making them ideal as a colorful item for everyday writing.

※ Because large sheets are cut to make the notebooks, there are individual differences in the placement of the dyed paper. Please understand this beforehand.
