Traditional Akebi Fiber Craft Passed Down in Chiba
Established in 1947, this workshop in Aomori and Chiba continues the craft of Akebi fiber work. Using high-quality Akebi naturally grown in the Chiba region, they skillfully weave beautiful braided products. While preserving techniques passed down since the Edo period, they create items that bring out the natural blessings, transforming them into everyday tools. At Fuwa, we proudly represent this traditional "Akebi fiber craft."
