Traditional Patterns and Craftsmen's Techniques Combined, Beautiful and Practical Tea Caddy

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design created by a textile designer who focused on the "meaning of wishing for happiness" found in traditional Japanese patterns.

The Seigaiha pattern represents wishes for "eternal prosperity" and "family fortune," like waves continuing forever.

We designed a modern version that dyes the good motifs of the pattern into a contemporary lifestyle.

Exquisite craftsmanship: Each piece is carefully handcrafted at a specialized workshop
Modern traditional patterns: Enjoy choosing from 6 pattern types and 2 colors
Double-layered structure: The double-layered design, with an outer and inner lid, keeps the freshness and aroma of the tea
Also ideal as a quality gift: The "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special thoughts

Beautifully preserving tea leaves for a rich tea time

The tea caddy has a capacity of 150g. It is made from lightweight materials with a sturdy steel construction. Its high light-blocking ability prevents the tea leaves’ flavor from deteriorating.

The inner lid is also made of steel with high airtightness, firmly preserving the freshness of the tea leaves from moisture. You can enjoy delicious tea anytime. The inner lid comes with a handle for easy opening and closing.

The appropriate humidity and temperature can also be kept, making it recommended for storing tea leaves, tea bags, herbal teas, coffee beans, dried foods, spices, and sweets that you want to protect from moisture.

You can also combine it with sweets or tea to create a petite gift, or use it as a small storage container.

This item is perfect for adding a touch to your daily tea time, combining both beauty and practicality.

The charm of hand-dyed craftsmanship stands out in the detail

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this tea caddy is an original by Fuwa Market. Skilled craftsmen at a specialized workshop in Kyoto carefully hand-dye each piece one by one.

The traditional technique creates a deep color and a unique blend that is truly captivating. When you look at the raw paper, you can feel the dense layering of colors unique to hand-dyeing.

The subtle gradations and nuances create a harmony that can only be achieved by handcrafting, expressing a one-of-a-kind beauty.

Each edition is carefully dyed, producing a warmth and depth that cannot be expressed by simple printing.

The craftsmanship brings out the refined beauty of Japanese style right down to the details. Every time you use it, you can feel the meaning of Japanese craftsmanship and traditional patterns.

Experience the charm of this harmonious warmth created by the artisans’ handiwork and craftsmanship.

Wishes and prayers woven into the Seigaiha pattern

The infinite waves symbolize abundance

Large rolling waves and small calm waves. The Seigaiha pattern is a layered design symbolizing abundant blessings with the harmony of large and small arcs.

It is a motif with great significance for people living near the sea worldwide, and not only in Japan but also seen in Egypt and Persia.

It also appeared in Heian period texts such as the "Genji Monogatari" and became popular among commoners during the Edo period.

The rich blessings and infinite symbols of happiness have become beloved good motifs, often given as gifts or used in wedding and housewarming celebrations.

The colors include a gentle blue series,

and a warm brown series in two colors. The harmonious yet individual colors are perfect for brightening your tea time.

※ Because the large sheets are cut to make these, there may be individual differences in the arrangement of the raw paper. Please understand this.
