A slim Japanese paper bag that can also hold A3 size documents

A tote bag designed by the dyeing artist "Yunoki Sataro" on Japanese washi paper from the Japanese washi brand "SIWA."

Featuring a long handle that can be hung over the shoulder, it can hold a large capacity including A3-sized documents and large files, yet it is surprisingly lightweight at only 126g.

Its comfort is such that you forget the bag's presence without feeling the weight, reducing the burden on your shoulders and arms even on days when you carry a lot of items.

Compact when not in use

Since it has a simple flat design without a gusset, it can be neatly folded and stored compactly when not in use.

It works well as a sub-bag for commuting, going out, or travelling, and is convenient to carry anywhere.

Soft touch and comfortable craftsmanship

The texture is soft and gentle, and it is carefully crafted with a double-layered structure of bag weaving and a unique weaving technique that stands upright.

Inside the bag, there is a convenient inner pocket for storing small items. You can quickly take out frequently used items such as passes, smartphones, and keys.

For walks, shopping, or work. The more you use it, the deeper the texture and the more you will love this exquisite product.

Naoron material combining the beauty and softness of Japanese paper

The "Naoron" used for the tote bag is SIWA's unique material that activates the texture of Japanese paper while adding strength and water resistance.

It is light and soft to the touch, comfortable to hold in your hand, and provides peace of mind for everyday use.

The more you use it, the deeper the texture of SIWA develops, and it is fascinating to enjoy the changes over the years like a leather product.

Strong against water, it is also safe on rainy days. The weight capacity is up to 10kg, so you can carry heavy items securely.

Dyer Yunoki Sataro

Born in Tokyo in 1922. He studied art history at the University of Tokyo but his studies were interrupted by the war. Since then, he has been active as a leading figure in mold dyeing. He held solo exhibitions in Paris from 2008 to 2010 and received high acclaim. In 2014, over 70 of his works were collected by the French National Museum of Asian Arts - Guimet.
