Traditional Japanese dyeing technique “chusen”

Chusen is a unique Japanese dyeing technique that has been around since the Meiji period.

It is characterized by creating a pattern using paper patterns and pouring the dye onto the layers of fabric, which allows the fabric to be dyed beautifully even to the core.

By pouring the dye from above, natural shading and blurring are created, creating a warm look that cannot be achieved with a machine.

It is unique to Chusen that you can enjoy beautiful colors no matter where you look because there are no front or back sides. The more you use it, the more its texture will increase, and over time you will develop your own unique taste.
