Kamawanu's furoshiki are carefully dyed one color at a time using the traditional hand-printing technique.
This is a traditional dyeing technique that uses a mold to manually apply dye one color at a time to the fabric. By carefully layering colors by hand by craftsmen, delicate patterns and beautiful colors are created.
Because the dye penetrates deeply into the fabric, there is little difference in color between the front and back sides. The result is a piece that has a rich texture and can be used for a long time.
