Yotsume Somefusha Calendar 2026 A year depicting Japan's four seasons and everyday nature

"Yotsume Somefusha Calendar 2026" gently depicts the four seasons and scenes of life in Japan.
A pattern designed based on the design of stencil dyeing (katazome),
Finished with special printing that makes use of the texture of a print.

The deep finish that allows you to feel the graininess and shading of the ink is different from general mass-produced printing,
It gives you a feeling of warmth as if it were gently breathing on the paper.

A different quality of paper is used for each month, so you can enjoy the different texture and expression each time you turn it.
The size is neither too big nor too small, so it fits easily in any place, such as the living room, entryway, or desk.

Add a touch of color to your life as the seasons change.

The size is neither too big nor too small, and fits comfortably in any room.

[Design/Production]

The designer is Toyoichi Ono, a dyer based in Hiroshima Prefecture.
After working in Oita Prefecture, I moved to my hometown of Hiroshima in the spring of 2025.
While delicately sensing the everyday scenery such as the light, wind, and the sound of rain that you feel in nature,
We express "Japan's four seasons" through the creation of stencil dyeing designs.

[From Mr. Ono's words written at the end of the calendar]

“Looking once again at Japan’s rich four-season landscape,
The design focuses on the changes of nature as much as possible.

I moved to my hometown of Hiroshima in April of this year (2025).
When you change where you live, everything about your daily life changes, and you start to notice things that you normally wouldn't pay attention to.
The little things in everyday life, such as the rain, the sunlight, and the comfort of the wind, seem special.
For the 2026 calendar, I envisioned a way to express such everyday nature and Japan's four seasons. ”
