This bucket tote is a collaboration between Tachibana Textile Research Institute in Onomichi, Hiroshima, and salvia, a miscellaneous goods brand that is close to daily life.
It is made into a large, rounded shape using fabric from Onomichi Hanpu, the last canvas factory in Onomichi.
The gray color in particular is a little special, and is printed by hand using a dye uniquely developed by the Tachibana Textile Research Institute, using iron powder from a steel mill in Onomichi.
There is a subtle depth in the muted colors, and the gentle stitching, which is ``like hand embroidery'' made by a specialized embroidery factory in Gosen, Niigata, adds a soft warmth.
The long one-handle design allows you to carry it naturally over your shoulder or in your hand.
The handle is wide enough to prevent the bag from digging into your shoulder while distributing the weight evenly.
The magnetic closure makes it easy to open and close with one hand, and the wide opening makes it easy to see the contents and make it easy to put things in and take them out.
