Color variations of the Pine Pattern pen case

Preserving green leaves throughout the year and enduring harsh cold, the pine pattern symbolizes "longevity."

We designed a modern style that dyes the good motifs of the pattern into contemporary lifestyle.

The colors include a green series with a fresh tone,

and a warm orange series with a gentle feeling.

While the colors are calm, each has its own personality, making them ideal as colorful desk items.

※ Please note that due to the cutting of large sheets, there may be individual differences in the placement of the pattern. Thank you for your understanding.

Fusion of trained design and craftsmanship

This pen case is a special premium item meticulously handcrafted by Kyoto artisans specializing in paper case making.

The exterior uses hand-dyed Japanese paper, and the interior employs a different color, creating a vivid impression the moment it is opened.

We aimed for a design that makes using it enjoyable.

A design combining storage capacity and functional beauty

The pen case is sized just right to store various writing tools such as fountain pens, ballpoint pens, and mechanical pencils.

It can hold about five ballpoint pens, regular pens, and felt-tip pens.

Of course, it can also be used as a glasses case, accessory case, or a pouch for carrying mobile phones, making it a versatile item for various uses.

With a solid paper case structure, it protects your writing tools so you can enjoy using them for a long time.

Accent with interior colors

The beauty when opened is also carefully designed, using original Japanese paper on the interior bottom surface. The color coordination, balanced with the pattern on the front, gives a refined impression.

The smooth opening and closing, achieved through delicate craftsmanship, makes you feel comfortable every time you use it.

Exquisite harmony brought out by the interior design

Instead of hand-dyed Japanese paper, the interior bottom uses simple plain paper.

While emphasizing the beauty of the pattern, it creates a cozy atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy the different expressions of the front and back in this design.

The perfect balance with the front pattern expresses a refined impression.

Details where the charm of hand-dyed paper stands out

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this pen case is the original Fuwa Market. It is handcrafted one by one by skilled artisans at a specialized workshop in Kyoto.

Using traditional techniques, the deep colors and unique texture create a magical charm. When viewing the pattern, you can feel the delicate layering of colors unique to hand-dyed paper.

Subtle gradations and nuances, achieved through craftsmanship, bring out a unique and unparalleled beauty.

Each edition is carefully dyed, creating a subtle depth and warmth that cannot be expressed by simple printing alone.

Every detail is carefully crafted to bring out the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship. Each time you use it, you can feel the meaning of traditional culture and skilled craftsmanship of Japan.

The charm and warmth brought out by the artisans’ handiwork is a must-experience.

The Pine is a Symbol of Prosperity

The pine tree is a plant that Japanese people have long cherished as a sacred symbol.

Even in the cold winter, it maintains its lush green leaves, symbolizing "longevity," and the combination of pine, plum, and bamboo in a single plant embodies the wish for "prosperity for descendants."

Since the Edo period, the pine has been regarded as a plant where gods dwell, appearing in Noh theater backdrops, used to welcome the New Year's deity by making gate pines, and has become an indispensable presence in traditional arts.

The pine's strong vitality and beauty continue to be loved by many people even today.
