Chusen, a craftsmanship that has continued since the Meiji era

Kamawanu tenugui are made using a unique Japanese dyeing technique called chusen, which has been around since the Meiji era. By placing resist dyeing glue on the fabric and pouring the dye all at once, it can be used reversibly from both sides.

The process, which is mostly done by hand, creates a subtle "play" in the colors and patterns, and the more you use it, the more the texture changes. Each piece has a unique expression and will grow into a companion that will fit into your daily life.
