Color variations of the Ichimatsu Pattern Goshuincho

From the correct traditional motifs, the Ichimatsu pattern includes meanings such as "prosperity of descendants" and "continuation of business."

We designed it in a modern way to subtly dye the good motifs of the pattern into contemporary lifestyle.

The colors are available in a green series with a fresh tone,

and a warm red series in two colors.

While the colors blend harmoniously, each has its own character, making it ideal as an item to brighten your Goshuincho tour.

※ Because the paper is cut from large sheets, there are individual differences in the placement of the pattern. Please understand this in advance.

Fusion of trained design and artisan skills

This Goshuincho is a special masterpiece crafted one by one by Kyoto’s box craftsmen.

The exterior uses hand-dyed Japanese paper. Each piece expresses a subtle but unique expression, showcasing the special feeling of each sheet.

Enriching the pleasure of visiting shrines and temples

The size of the Goshuincho is a large B6 size of approximately 18cm by 12cm. It is easy to use, and the Goshuin you receive can be neatly attached inside the cover.

It has a snake belly style with a total of 48 pages inside (24 sheets).

Since it is folded and stacked like an accordion, you can see multiple Goshuin at a glance when opened wide.

As a Goshuincho, it can also be used for mini notebooks, scratch books, travel notes, recipe notes, collections of works, and other various uses, making it very versatile.

Every time you hold it in your hand, your heart feels calm, and your visits to shrines and temples become even richer moments.

The charm of hand-dyed detail stands out

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used for this Goshuincho is an original made by a trusted artisan. Skilled artisans in Kyoto handcraft each sheet one by one at a specialized workshop.

Using traditional techniques, the rich colors and unique combinations are truly captivating. When you look closely at the sheets, you can feel the subtle layering of colors that only hand-dyeing can achieve.

Subtle gradations and blending create a unique beauty that cannot be replicated.

By carefully dyeing each sheet, a warmth and depth arise that cannot be expressed by simple printing alone.

The craftsmanship brings out the refined beauty of Japanese paper in every detail. Each time you use it, you can feel the meaning of traditional patterns and the skills of Kyoto artisans.

We hope you will experience the charm and warmth created by the artisan’s handiwork.

Ichimatsu, who was once called the stone tile pattern, is so popular that it was renamed Ichimatsu pattern.
